Rosemary is often started indoors and allowed several months before being planted outside once any chance of frost has passed. A spray bottle is suggested as a watering method as you do not want to over water this plant which normally thrives in dry and rocky soils. It is a great container plant, especially in areas where the temp can drop below 17 degrees F. Once the plant is established you may harvest leaves as needed. The plants flavor peaks just before the flowers blossom.
