Due to the rapid growing rate of the mint plant some gardeners prefer to keep it confined to pots. Mint is great for attracting earthworms, hover-flies and predatory wasps while repelling cabbage moths, aphids and flea beetles. Once the plant has become established you may harvest the leaves or flowers as needed.
