This elongated variety of radishes does well in cooler temperatures. It produces the highest crop yield when planted early spring to late summer when the temperatures are at their coolest. It is best to sow in raised garden beds, with loosened soil for the plants roots to grow freely. This variety of radish is one of the most brittle so when picking it is best to dig the fruit up rather then to pull on its leaves.
