It is important to note that pepper seeds germinate slower in cooler soil, as well as they do not like to grow in to warm of temperatures, these are both important items to think about when planning on when to sow. The best time of year to plant these peppers is early March but anytime during the spring season is optimal planting time. The fruits that are produced from this plant are very large. They are ready to pick once they turn dark green with a reddish brown tint.
